I always prefer originals, my belief is that I rather support an artist that way, by appreciating their original work~ I don't mind when fanart is done, but I would just rather buy originals XD.
lol same here XD mostly because I don't actually care about a lot of fandoms. Very few I actually bother to look at art of otherwise it's just something I like to watch/play/read and that's all. I'd rather support original too <:
haha I think I'd rather buy original work mainly because there could come a point where I start to dislike a fandom as has often happened whereas if its original art I can still admire the character or art without knowing anything about it.
If I see some really awesome art, even if it has nothing to do with anything I know about, I would like to put it on my wall. The thing with fanart is, it can be less visually stunning while seeming as awesome to me just because I like the backstory to it.
lol that's too weird for me to just buy something I have no clue about XD not saying I haven't or wouldn't do it but if anything it would make me check out the series and want to know more about it. Yeah that's the thing with fanart even if it's not visually stunning the fact it's your fav character or fandom would make you want it.
I guess it depends on what you like as for me I don't really care about fanart much and I'm not really involved in a lot of fandoms only a few I actually care enough to look at art for, even then though the artist style would need to appeal and look good. I guess I'd rather support original work at the end of the day
